DPI / PPI

What it means

Two related "how dense" numbers. Mouse DPI is how far the cursor moves per inch you slide the mouse; screen PPI is how tightly packed your monitor's pixels are.

More detail

DPI is dots per inch; PPI is pixels per inch. A higher mouse DPI moves the cursor further per motion — it's about your aim feel, not performance, and most players pair a moderate DPI with in-game sensitivity. Higher screen PPI only means a sharper-looking panel at a given size. Cranking mouse DPI sky-high doesn't make you faster, it makes you twitchier.
