DLSS Frame Generation (NVIDIA) and AFMF / Fluid Motion Frames (AMD) are the common versions. Because the invented frames don't carry your input, it actually adds a little input latency — great for a relaxing single-player game on a big screen, a bad idea in a competitive shooter. Displayed FPS is not the same as how fast the game answers your hands.
