Monitors advertise a '1ms response time,' but there are two different numbers behind that. GtG (grey-to-grey) measures how fast one pixel shifts from one shade to another. MPRT (moving picture response time) measures how long a frame stays visible to your eye, which is tied to motion blur and persistence.
