What it means
Rapid Trigger is a feature of Hall-effect and other magnetic or analog keyboards: instead of waiting to reset at a fixed point, a key re-arms the instant you start lifting it, so rapid up-down taps register faster than on a normal switch. Players use it for things like quicker counter-strafing.

It is a genuine mechanical capability of analog switches, not software you can add to an ordinary keyboard and not a cheat in itself — but it needs compatible hardware, and there is an honest caveat to flag. Some competitive titles restrict or ban related keyboard features, and one in particular — Snap Tap / SOCD handling, where pressing one direction key instantly cancels the opposite for frame-perfect strafing — was banned in Counter-Strike 2 (Valve, 2024), while other games such as Valorant currently allow it but treat it as a watched gray area that could change. …
